From November 15 to 22, 2021, Tsinghua High School Attached to Jiangtai Road Campus held the fifth Science and Technology Festival, aiming to build a platform for innovation and demonstration, and stimulate students' enthusiasm for scientific principles and the spirit of exploration。Students from all grades in the school actively participated in the activity, and the response was warm。

At noon on November 16, the third grade students held a "Paper bridge competition" in the multi-function hall。The principle of paper strip load-bearing is to use various conical and cylindrical shapes on the bridge to disperse or indirectly offset external pressure。Students use tape and other tools to make flat white paper into a load-bearing paper bridge. In this process, they not only experience the fun of innovative design and hands-on practice, but also feel the powerful power of teamwork。

At noon on November 17, high school students carried out an "automatic flag raising device" activity in the multi-function hall。The principle of this device is the use of fixed pulley and lever principle, the fixed pulley can change the direction of the force, the lever can change the direction of the force at the same time can also save effort, simulate the flag。After intense discussion, the students designed the implementation plan, drew a sketch, and jointly made a series of automatic flag-raising devices made of materials such as straws and chopsticks. After continuous improvement, the students combined imagination and creativity to make a wonderful physical model, and experienced the happiness of science and technology in the exploration。

At noon on November 18, the second grade students held a paper cup stacking tower competition in the multi-function hall, all students represented by the class, three in a group, using 30 paper cups and a board, stacking each other, and finally comparing the height。In the operation, students need to constantly explore the rules, try to stack the cup tower high and stable, and record the data。In the course of the competition, the students cooperated well and did not give up even if there was a collapse in the middle, and experienced the fun of cooperation to achieve success。
